For over three decades, we have been dedicated to creating sustainable communities through our sustainable, biodiverse, and healthy solutions. Our Executive Director’s father pioneered pollution control equipment design for New York City in 1971, well before the concepts of carbon footprints or climate change gained traction. In this generation, our team has tackled some of the largest terrestrial Superfund cleanup sites ever initiated, restored rivers and streams, and even uncovered sub-aquatic locations hidden for millennia. Through our biodiversity education initiatives, we’ve learned that nature inherently manages itself better than our previous attempts at enhancement. Therefore, our approach is straightforward: we focus on restoring the balance. Most of our work involves reversing the impacts of human activities. When we succeed, it feels as if we were never there, highlighting the importance of marine ecosystem restoration and the resilience of the natural world.
